Tanzanian Lion

SCI Foundation is initiating a 4-year project putting GPS collars on young adult male lions in Tanzania to collect data needed to manage these iconic predators. This project is supported by the Hunter Legacy 100 Fund and will define the survival and movements of these lions as they reach full maturity.

We’re beginning by deploying radio collars—an essential step toward gathering the data needed to guide effective wildlife management.
