Education Scholarships

SCIF’s mission is to ensure the future of wildlife through conservation, education, and hunting.

As a part of this mission, SCIF and Sables has been helping provide scholarships to students in wildlife management at several top university programs for 20 years through our SCIF Endowed Hunting Heritage Scholarships.

Currently, six SCIF-Sables Hunting Heritage Scholarships are available to qualified scholars.

SCIF-Sables CJ McElroy

West Virginia University – Given to a qualified full-time student junior or senior majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, Department of Forestry & Natural Resources.

SCIF-Sables Joe Letta

Unity Environmental University, Maine – Given to junior or senior students pursuing a course of study in either Bachelor of Arts or Science in wildlife management, wildlife science or conservation law enforcement.

SCIF-Sables Elaine and Gus Vogeler

Idaho University – Given to a junior or senior students pursuing a course of study in either Bachelor of Science or Arts in wildlife management or science.

SCIF-Sables Texas A&M University- Kingsville

Texas A&M University/Kingsville – Given to juniors or seniors pursuing a degree in wildlife/range management or wildlife science.

SCIF-Sables Brown-Monson Foundation

Montana University – Given to junior or senior students pursuing a course of study in either Bachelor of Arts or Science in the field of wildlife biology.

SCI Memorial Don MacMillan

Hamline University, Minnesota – Given to a third- or fourth-year law student who has demonstrated an interest in hunting and fishing, supporting the use of hunting as a tool for sustainable conservation and wildlife management, and preserving hunters’ rights.

William Hamberlin II Memorial Scholarship

Auburn University, Texas – The scholarship is designed to assist students who demonstrate a financial need and are enrolled in Auburn University’s College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment with declared majors in wildlife ecology and management or wildlife enterprise management. Learn More >
