William Hamberlin II Memorial Scholarship

A Tribute to William Hamberlin II:
Advancing Education and Conservation

To honor Will and the amazing human being that he was, the Hamberlin Family chose to set up the William Hamberlin II Memorial Annual Scholarship with Auburn University, TX.

The scholarship is designed to assist students who demonstrate a financial need and are enrolled in Auburn University’s College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment with declared majors in wildlife ecology and management or wildlife enterprise management. Preference is given to those students who are interested in or supportive of hunting as a critical component of conservation.

“This scholarship gave me the chance to pursue internships and so many opportunities that would have otherwise been out of my reach. Thanks to my internships, I had many connections and a wide variety of experiences that helped me earn my current position. As soon as I graduated, I landed a position on the Conecuh National Forest as a wildlife biologist! I have been there for just over a year now, and I specialize in threatened and endangered species management and environmental policies.”

– Bayleigh Lamberson, 2023 Recipient
