Safari Club International Opens New Africa Office

Irene, South Africa – Safari Club International Foundation (SCIF) is excited to announce the official opening of the Safari Club International Africa office in Irene, South Africa. This significant development highlights SCIF’s unwavering dedication to wildlife conservation and sustainable use practices.

The new Africa office will enhance access to the continent, empowering SCI and SCIF teams to work more efficiently and amplify their conservation impact. This establishment reinforces SCIF’s commitment to key initiatives, such as:

– Supporting community-led conservation efforts that empower local stakeholders.

– Advocating for sustainable use and ethical hunting practices, alongside strengthening law enforcement against poaching and illegal wildlife trade.

Dries van Coller, the Antipoaching and International Conservation Manager, will join longtime Africa Coordinator in Zimbabwe, Mr. George Pangeti, in representing SCIF in Africa. Dries is dedicated to preserving vital landscapes and habitats, playing a crucial role in enhancing the lives of local communities while ensuring adherence to legislative and international agreements.
