Study Outcomes

The results of the study helped determine snow leopard abundance in northern Pakistan and contributed to our understanding of community-based conservation aimed at sustainable use and management of wild resources. Study activity and findings included:

  1. Using scat-based surveys to calculate abundance estimates of snow leopard in Pakistan.
  2. Trained local villagers on survey techniques that can be used in future surveys.
