SCI Chapters using SCIF Bell Family Blue Bag Program to Help Support Their Local Communities

Butler County, PA– The SCI Pittsburgh Chapter is putting the SCIF Bell Family Blue Bag Program to work right here at home in the United States this Holiday Season. The chapter recently provided SCIF Bell Family blue bags filled with needed resources for two programs in their local community.

Chapter president Brian Pitell, recently visited the Veterans H.E.A.R.T. Resource Center and Butler County, PA School District and delivered blue bags to both organizations for their respective programs.

The Veterans H.E.A.R.T. Resource Center located in Butler, Pennsylvania, is an organization dedicated to empowering veterans and their families to build stable, independent lives through comprehensive support and resources. The blue bag was given for their center driven program, Robin’s Home, which provides transitional housing for homeless female veterans and their children.

The Kids Weekend Backpack Program provides meals for students that have little to no food to eat when they are not in school. The program serves just over 400 K-5 students at the Butler County School District.

The SCI Pittsburgh Chapter is demonstrating that SCIF Bell Family blue bags are a great way to show hunters are providers, no matter where in the world they may be, including their own communities at home. You or your SCI chapter can support your local communities in areas of need as well by simply contacting SCIF staff and requesting blue bags to fill with needed resources.
