Through the Bell Family Blue Bag Program, SCI members continue to make a meaningful difference for communities around the world.
In June 2026, Terry and Patty Ehrhardt of the Great Falls Chapter SCI in Montana traveled to Namibia with Patty’s niece and family, Kyle and Stacy Steinburg and their sons, Tyler, 18, and Kaden, 16, of Rock Island, Washington. The group hunted with Jan Oelefse Safaris, marking the Steinburgs’ first trip to Africa.
Jan Oelefse Safaris provides a private school for their employees’ children, serving students from Kindergarten through eighth grade. This visit marked the Ehrhardts’ third time hunting with Jan Oelefse Safaris and supporting the school. While 45 children attend the school, only some students were present during the visit because temperatures had dropped to 33 degrees Fahrenheit and the younger students were kept home due to the cold. Through the SCIF Bell Family Blue Bag Program, the group donated soccer balls, and each student received a bag filled with colored pencils, erasers, socks, and candy. Additional supplies and tennis shoes were also left with the school’s three teachers. A special thank you goes to Staples in Great Falls, which donated the colored pencils and erasers.
The students were grateful for the gifts and shared their appreciation by singing a thank-you song for the group.
For the Ehrhardts and Steinburgs, visiting the school was a special and humbling experience. Seeing the students’ excitement, curiosity, and gratitude offered a powerful reminder of how small acts of generosity can leave a lasting impact.
