My Story…

By Marc Stewart, SCIF Supporter

I started hunting at the age of 13 when my dad finally let me join him on a deer hunt. I can remember being left behind, because I was too little and too young. The fun and fellowship around camp is what I will always associate with hunting. Fast forward nearly 40 years, and I’ve been fortunate enough to hunt several different states in the USA as well as Argentina, Canada, and, unbelievably, I’ve taken 7 African safaris and have shot 3 of the big 5. With this, I’ve made new friends all over the globe.

However, the world today is changing faster than ever and many of the traditions we grew up with are fading away right before our eyes. Those who don’t agree with or understand the lifestyle of hunting are out to destroy it. It’s called the “Cancel Culture,” and the only way to stop it is to fight back.

SCI Foundation is the leader in ensuring the future of wildlife and is actively engaged in recruiting the next generation of hunter conservationists. Becoming a monthly donor will ensure SCIF has the resources to continually fight for and protect wildlife and our hunting heritage, so join me in signing up for SCI Foundation’s Forever for Wildlife Monthly Giving Program.
