Making a Gift

Safari Club International Foundation (SCI Foundation) welcomes each and every charitable contribution. Your generous support will continue to fund the important mission work of the Foundation in the areas of Wildlife Conservation, Outdoor Education, Humanitarian Service, The American Wilderness Leadership School (AWLS) and the International Wildlife Museum.

Whatever your interest, we have a way for you to help make an impact through your philanthropy. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by IRS code and law.

The Society of the Lion & Shield represents SCI Foundation’s Giving Levels; and provides special recognition to donors for their annual and lifetime giving. Donors are recognized at many different levels for both operational and restricted gifts to SCI Foundation.

  • The First for Wildlife Endowment gives supporters of SCI Foundation an opportunity to help sustain the Foundation’s mission long into the future. Donations to this Endowment will ensure your charitable intent is met in supporting SCI Foundation’s mission in perpetuity. In addition to cash gifts, you may consider making a provision for the Endowment in your estate plan or naming SCI Foundation as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Gifts may also include: bequests; charitable lead or remainder trusts; real estate; personal property such as artwork, jewelry or other assets.  The goal for the First for Wildlife Endowment is to provide an endowed fund of principal from which to earn a long-term stream of much-needed earnings and appreciation to support high-priority conservation, education, and humanitarian services programs. • American Wilderness Leadership School (AWLS) Endowment is a newly established fund restricted to use solely for the AWLS education programs and facilities. . Similar to SCI Foundation’s other endowments, only the earnings and appreciation will be used for AWLS needs, with principal left in the Endowment. • **The Hunter Legacy 100 Fund was established to create a permanent endowment with the earned income supporting the mission programs of SCI Foundation. The HLF 100 Fund is made up of 100 donors, each contributing $100,000 to create a $10 million endowment. The Fund is now complete with 100 members in good standing.

** Is a separate endowment and is excluded from the Society of the Lion & Shield.
