In February 2021 the Sables Convention Committee welcomed a new chair. Sables are happy and excited to have Susan Hayes lead the Convention Committee into the 2022 SCI Convention! With Susan’s experience the Sables luncheon is sure to be nothing short of fantastic!
As President of the Windsor Companies, Susan actively manages all business activities of the consolidated companies including real estate development, leasing and management. Windsor specializes in retail shopping centers in Southern California and is owned by Susan and her husband Bill. In addition to her business activities, Susan is an avid hunter, fisherwoman, hiking enthusiast and is involved in two book clubs and a cooking club. She teaches cooking, wine pairing and food technique classes and continues her wine education with the Culinary Institute of America-Napa in pursuit of her advanced wine certification. She is a member of the Guild of Sommeliers and an alumnus of Le Cordon Bleu. She is active in the Republican Party in Los Angeles and has been a Presidential Delegate at the Republican National Convention.
Susan has been involved with many Los Angeles based charitable groups and has held Board or Committee positions with the Child Development Institute, the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s) Association, the West Valley YMCA, various Los Angeles area Chambers of Commerce, the San Fernando Valley Economic and Development Agency and the Los Angeles County Sheriff Children’s Fund.
Susan is an active board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Safari Club International where she serves as Legislative Chair to the California Hunting and Wildlife Committee of SCI. Susan received the 2020 Safari Club International Diana award in recognition of her world-wide hunting accomplishments.
Susan recently completed her five-year tenure as a Trustee of the Foundation Board of the National Rifle Association and was also on the Executive Committee of the Women’s Leadership Forum of the NRA for seven years.
Susan’s commitment to the Safari Club International, hunting, conservation, the NRA and the Second Amendment is engrained in her everyday life. Susan and Bill, their children and grandchildren are all Life Members of the National Rifle Association and are members of Safari Club International.
