SCIF Conservation Manager, Joe Goergen, made an official intervention on the virtual floor of the CITES 31st Animals Committee meeting calling for more range state involvement in work related to African lions. SCIF was the only observer to intervene on this agenda item important to hunters and the southern African region. SCI and SCIF continue to be leaders at CITES with particular emphasis on lions as one of our top priorities.
