Sables usually meet annually in conjunction with the SCI August Board Meeting to evaluate prior year successes, identify areas of development and set new goals for the coming year. This year was slightly different, because Sables met before the August Board Meeting and did so virtually. Thanks to technology, Sables carried out important strategic planning work to support SCIF Education Programs. Planning for the future in these fluctuating times comes with its own set of challenges, but we remain focused on planning for a successful future in our education programs.
The Sables Strategic Planning meeting would not be complete without an in depth look at fundraising endeavors planned for the year ahead, and specifically focused on the plans for the Sables Luncheon Show and Auction. The luncheon is the primary fundraiser conducted by Sables and every dollar raised goes to SCIF Education programs. Plans are currently being made for a show you won’t want to miss! There will be a disco dance party and light show, mixing and mingling as well as complimentary champagne, prizes, and a live and silent auction. The theme for the Sables 2022 Luncheon is “Celebrating 50 Years of SCI! Sables are Golden!” The luncheon is scheduled on Friday, January 21st, 2022, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. We are expecting the luncheon to be a sold-out show this year! Tickets may be purchased online through SCI’s Annual Hunters’ Convention portal at ShowSCI.org. We hope to see you there for a dance party you won’t soon forget!
