Back in Business! The International Wildlife Museum Reopens After 6 ½ Months!

The Museum, closed since March 17th, has reopened its doors! The Museum reopened on October 1st and hosted a Member’s Only Night on October 2nd. Museum Members were invited back during a special time of their own to visit the Museum, pick up membership cards and receive a thank you gift.

During the first weekend, over 300 people visited the Museum! People were happy to be out and about, enjoying the Museum again. The Museum has safety measures in place such as running at 50% capacity, a Plexiglas barrier at the Admissions Desk, hand sanitizer stations and social distancing reminder signs around the building. With 40,000 square feet, there is plenty of room to spread out!

We hope that our attendance will get back to normal as time goes on, and that we will soon be able to return to doing special events, hosting field trips, doing off-site outreaches and running camps and educational programs again.

As a reminder, SCI Members receive free admission to the International Wildlife Museum! So, if you find yourself in Tucson, please come by, say hello, and see your beautiful Museum!
